Hey all,

After just starting the Win32API I've finally migrated my main pc to linux (fedora 15), and hence have shifted interest to programming for linux!

I was just wondering if anyone can suggest any good books or tutorials to get me started, I'm at an intermediate level of competency with c++, but there seems to be so much involved in linux programming it seems a bit overwhelming.

The long term goal is to develop drivers as I'm sick of the crappy support for my laptop :/

Anyway, any advice or references would be much appreciated!

First you need know the unix system(POSIX, system calls,...). Talking about books, I like the Unix System Programming Using C++, by Terrence Chan.
