I'm getting pretty well acquainted with SFML now, but I have a couple questions.

Using SFML or not, what is the best (most portable way - windows, linux, and mac) way to close and reopen the console / terminal. I need to be able to close it and later reopen it.

Compromises are welcome (different solution types) but I would like to keep this as simple as possible.
